Staff Realization and Productivity

The Staff Realization and Productivity report compares realization and productivity by staff.

Permissions Required for this Report

In the staff profile, staff must be assigned to a security group that is granted View functional rights for the following:

• Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Shared Library > Shared Views
• Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Custom
• Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Standard > Firm
• Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Standard > Practice
• Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > <report name>

Reports in Foundation that are Comparable

In Practice Management, the comparable report is Employee Realization and Productivity Report (Custom Library). In Practice Advantage, there is no comparable report.

Note: Unlike the Practice Management version of this report, zero WIP amounts which have been invoiced are included.

The following report options and filters are available to determine the report contents.

Report Fields

The following fields are available for this report. The fields that display and the position of fields are based on the report's settings, grouping, sorting, and filters.

Report Fields
Field	Description
Staff Name	The name and ID in Last Name, First Name (Staff ID) format.
Realization
Billed Hours	The total hours for billed WIP on posted invoices for the date range selected.
Billed Amounts	The total amount for billed WIP on posted invoice for the date range selected.
Write Up/Down	The net write up/down.
Real %	The billed amount + write up/down divided by billed amounts, including surcharges, excluding expenses, and expense write up/down. Note: The Real % calculation does not include WIP amounts that are written off or write down amounts that are prorated to the firm.
Effective Rate	The billed amount + write up/down divided by billed hours, excluding expenses and including surcharges. Note: The Effective Rate calculation does not include WIP amounts that are written off or write down amounts that are prorated to the firm.
Productivity
Billable Hours	The total of all billable hours posted for the date range selected.
Nonbillable Hours	The total of all nonbillable hours posted for the date range selected.
Total Hours	All hours posted for the date range selected, which should equal billable + nonbillable hours.
Hours For Ratio %	All Total Hours with a service code attribute of Include in billable % calculation (set in Practice Lists).
Ratio	The calculation of Hours For Ratio % divided by the total billable and non-billable hours.
